Bad news for Spurs ahead of their trip to Liverpool

The Spurs players who are on international duty have had good weeks with England, Belgium, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Cyprus, and South Korea all winning their games.

While Christian Eriksen’s Denmark played out a 2-2 draw with Kosovo, only Juan Foyth ended up in the losing side as Argentina lost 3-1 to Venezuela.

However, both Eric Dier and Serge Aurier had to come off early in their respective matches after picking up injuries. Both players are now expected to miss the game against Liverpool next weekend.

With Harry Winks currently recovering from a hip injury, Pochettino will be hoping that no other first-team player gets injured in the upcoming internationals.

Liverpool themselves have had a lot of injury problems to contend with of late but according to the Evening Standard, the Merseysiders could have everybody fit in time for the game against Tottenham.

The report claims that Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all be available for the game while Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who missed England duty due to injuries, are expected to be fit in time for the Spurs game.

So, it looks like Tottenham will have a full-strength Liverpool side to contend with next Sunday.
