Bale: We deserved all three penalties

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale claimed Spurs deserved all three of their penalties in their win against FC Twente.

Rafael van der Vaart missed the first penalty, but Roman Pavlyuchenko kept a cool head to slot away the other two spot kicks to help Spurs to a 4-1 win at White Hart Lane.

“If they’re penalties they should be given and I think they all were tonight,” Bale said on Sky Sports 2.

  1. We’ve been to Wender Bremen, we’ve done FC Twente too. Next we go to Inter Milan and who the f**k are you? The Scum and the Chelskie have done it all before. Here come the Mighty Tottenham we’re knocking on the door. Ehhh! Chamions League we’re having a laugh. Champions League we’re having a laugh. Chamions League we’re having a laugh. Champions League we’re having a laugh. Hahahahahahahahahahaha…

  2. My comment?
Our game was not on our standard level, but the Ref. killed the game. Come on.
We are also proud to play the UCL for the first time.
But for now, the feeling s**ks.

  3. Only 1 penalty was deserved. The last one was a joke. He hardly raised his hands. A win is a win though. But we were very very lucky. We didn't play as well as we could and if we play like this against Inter, we might be embarassed!

  4. Bale is a very good player. But in this interview he demonstrates that he's got no brains. I am not denying that Spurs overall were the better team but this symphatetic Twente team deserved more than this. Harry Redknapp and the Ref should both retire immediately or at least see a doctor for problems with their sight.
