Bale would consider a move overseas

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has revealed he would ‘seriously consider’ a move abroad if the right club came in for him.

The Welsh international signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Tottenham through to 2015 last month.

Bale was asked in an interview with Spanish sports daily As: “You never know but I am not scared about leaving the country,”

“If a great opportunity comes along then you have to consider it seriously.

“I left home when I was 15. If I leave the Premier League, learn another language and see another country then I will grow as a person.”

  1. Well the writing is on the wall. He probably reckons that we will not make the CL next season, and we wont win CL this season, so he is going to pack his bags. Although not the same circimstances it reminds me a bit of a traitor that went to the scum down the road.

‘I am happy at Spurs, we can achieve a lot here, let me sign a new contract.’

I do not believe thats its looking to play for the ‘best team’ syndrome. Its money. Pure and Simple.

If the players we have got now stayed together and we were able sign up the players we need then we could go on to better things.

But if players are going to jump ship every season that a team does not make the CL, then there is no hope for teams that do not have an owner that has pots of money.

This could be the start of the domino effect, one goes then others look and think I could play for a better team, and we end up with an average team and no stars.
