Bale’s Italian agent needs to zip it

Gareth Bale’s Italian agent insists three Serie A outfits are interested in signing the Spurs ace.

Agent Peppino Tirri says Juventus, AC Milan and Inter – as well as Real Madrid – are interested in the 21-year-old midfielder.

But, while he believes “there is a good chance” Bale will move to Italy one day, Tirri does not think a deal will be done in January.

The agent told ilsussidiario.net : “I confirm the interest of Juventus for Bale. The Bianconeri are trying to bring him to Italy but not in January, in June.

“AC Milan and Inter Milan too have shown interest in the Welsh player, partly because he would like to play in Italy in the near future. There is a good chance that it can happen.

“Also Real Madrid are seriously trying. (Jose) Mourinho has his eye on him and the Spanish club would be the only one who can take Bale in January.”

  1. this bloke needs to f off back to italy bale is ours but he should really think about gettin himself an english or welsh manager cause this guy is going to pose problems for the pride of north london. COYS

  2. Peppino IS NOT REPEAT NOT Gareth Bale’s agent or any connection with Gareth Bale. Surely it is best to ignore this sort of gossip rather than perpetuate “gossip”

  3. With all the stories of clubs interested going on has any put in a bid for him, any agent can say he knows of interested clubs that would include all prem, spanish, italian, german and last the french leagues but until someone actually puts up then the agents should shut stirring the pot and trying to get a move that is not wanted by either the player or the club Bale has come out and said that he is happy at spurs so the next move is he should tell his agents that he will decide when or if he wants a transfer and they can deal with it then and not before.

  4. I really do wish these agents would just shut their mouths and let footballers do their job. Gareth Bale has not only publicly come out and said that he’s happy at Spurs he’s also backed it up with his signature to a long term contract which as I have read still has some three and a half years left on it. It is no secret that all of the top clubs in Europe would like to have Bale given his exploits this past year but the fact remains he is a Spurs player and any attempts to unsettle the player by his own agent to engineer a move at this stage must be viewed as purely greed on the part of said agent. If the player himself had asked for his agent to look into it then different story but he hasn’t and must realise that his agent only views him as a cash cow to be used to fatten his own wallet in any transfer commission. Personally if I were Bale I would dispense with the services of this agent and employ someone of more repute and who acts in the interest of his client when asked to by said client.

Back to footballing matters and not scurrilous gossip mongering. Speaking of Gareth Bale sometimes I do wish we didn’t rely on him so much because there is the possibility of him becoming jaded by playing so many games but his is pretty much the first name I look for when the provisional team is listed on this or any of the other Spurs sites. His efforts in every game he plays make it almost impossible to leave him out. Who would want to be Harry Redknapp? Not an easy game tonight given our suspensions and injury worries tough one but I’d take one nil to the spurs and Gareth to score. COYS Lillywhitetilidie

  5. No smoke without fire etc.If so many clubs are interested why don't Spurs offer a pay rise to stay? Besides if we win a couple of trophies this season he might stay anyway. If he leaves it's not the end of the world is it?
