‘Baller’ – Grealish impressed with Tottenham star despite defeat against Brighton

Tottenham’s last two performances against Liverpool and Brighton have arguably been their poorest of the season so far.

There are not many players in a Spurs shirt who can come away from either game with their heads held high but one person who can is Tanguy Ndombele.

Jose Mourinho deployed the Frenchman in a slightly deeper role than he has tended to this season after he started with a back three in both matches.

Despite Tottenham failing to create too many chances at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday or at the Amex on Sunday, the former Lyon man was a bright spark as he made things happen whenever he got on the ball.

Ndombele has certainly been one of Spurs’ best players this season and appears to be getting better and fitter with more games under his belt.

The 24-year-old seems to be winning admirers among his peers, with Grealish being the latest star to praise the Tottenham man.

West Ham United’s Declan Rice admitted last month that he is enjoying watching Ndombele play and labelled him a ‘proper player’

Grealish posted an Instagram Story on Sunday (via GiveMeSport) that read: “Ndombele’s a baller”

Grealish is arguably the best ball carrier in the Premier League but Ndombele is not too far off the Aston Villa star and seems to be getting better every game. However, what makes Ndombele such a special talent is his ability to think a few steps ahead and pick out pin-point passes if he is given time and space.
