Barca could be without key man for crucial Spurs clash

Tottenham Hotspur are still slinging onto their Champions League hopes this season.

Pochettino’s men made it extremely difficult for themselves by blowing leads against both Inter Milan and PSV in the group stage, taking just the one point from their first three games.

Late heroics from Harry Kane saw Tottenham grab their first three points of the campaign in the second match against PSV, but there is still a mountain to climb.

To take it down to the final game week, Spurs must beat Inter Milan at home on Wednesday by two goals or more.

This is to ensure that if it comes down to head to head, Tottenham’s record against the Italians will be better than vice versa.

If Tottenham manage this task, they will then need yet another win in the final match, this time away to Barcelona.

The only saving grace is that Barca may have qualified top by this point, so could field a weakened side.

SkySports have also announced today that lead striker Luis Suarez is also a doubt for the fixture after injuring his knee.
