The Sun are reporting that Spanish giants Barcelona are lining up a stunning move for Dele Alli as they struggle to convince Liverpool to part with Philippe Coutinho.
The article explain how the reds stood firm over their Brazilian playmaker in the summer despite his desire to head to the Nou Camp and the Catalan club fear they will miss out on him again.
The Sun say that according to Spanish news outlet “Sport”, the 21 year-old Alli is being monitored by Barca’s hierarchy as they believe he would slot into the team with relative ease.
The article continues saying Spurs have told Barcelona and fellow La Liga giants Real Madrid that Dele is not for sale at any price – even for £150million.
Despite a perceived poor start to the season, Dele has scored three goals in eight appearances and remains instrumental to Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
Only last September he signed a six year £50,000-a-week deal, Alli saying at the time “Delighted to sign a new deal with this amazing club, thank you to all the fans for your support so far #COYS”
Despite all this, the article continues to say Alli raised concerns over his future by revealing plans to leave long-term agent Rob Segal when their agreement expires and that Tottenham are reportedly concerned that if he signs with a super agent like Mino Raiola or Jorge Mendes, they could struggle to agree a new contract.
