Barcelona plot Eriksen move

TalkSPORT believe Barcelona are plotting a move to sign Christian Eriksen as a replacement for club legend Andres Iniesta this summer.

Iniesta is set to depart the Nou Camp at the end of the season after a long and celebrated career in Catalonia, with the Chinese Super League rumoured to be his next destination.

And the article says it is claimed Eriksen, 26, is high on Barca’s list of targets as they seek to replace their midfield maestro.

It goes on to say that Spanish publication Don Balon says the LaLiga champions-elect are tracking the Denmark playmaker ahead of the possible move in the summer.

It adds Real Madrid have also been linked with the midfielder, who has 14 goals and 11 assists for Spurs this season and was named in the PFA Team of the Year on Wednesday.

The article by the Spanish outlet also suggests Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester United are actually in control of Barca’s potential swoop, due to their interest in Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos with Jose Mourinho wanting to bring the Germany international to Old Trafford this summer and, if that happens, Real Madrid will reportedly prioritise a move for Eriksen.

It adds however if Kroos remains at the Bernabeu, though, it Barcelona will pounce for the White Hart Lane hero when the transfer window opens.
