Barcelona star dismisses Tottenham link

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham, insisting he has no desire to leave the Camp Nou this summer.

Alba. has spent the last six seasons at Barcelona after joining from Valencia in 2012 and despite making 48 appearances for Barcelona last season, the Spaniard has been linked with a move to north London.

However according to the Independent the 29-year-old has made it clear he has no desire to leave the current La Liga champions.

Asked in a press conference if Tottenham’s reported interest was affecting him, Alba said: “No, no, I’m very good at Barca. If it were up to me, I would stay at Barca But it does not depend on me but on what the club wants. It also depends on my performance, which this season has been very good, but I do not see myself outside of Barcelona.”

The article goes on to say Alba is tied down to a contract with Barcelona until 2020, and has a reported €150m release clause.
