Barcelona star reacts on Twitter to Bergwijn’s superb skill against Wolves

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay has taken to social media to react to Steven Bergwijn’s impressive skills for Tottenham against Wolves on Sunday.

Nuno Espirito Santo marked the return to his former side with a 1-0 win thanks to a Dele Alli penalty early in the first half.

The win at Molineux at the weekend followed up Spurs’ impressive showing in their opener against Manchester City a week earlier, which ensured the Lilywhites maintained a perfect record to start the season.

A standout performer was winger Bergwijn, who once again showed his tenacious work ethic and pace to generate consistent offence for Nuno’s side.

Bergwijn’s key stamp on the game arrived when tight on the left touchline, with Wolves’ Max Kilman and Raul Jimenez to beat.

The Dutchman showed strength to ease aside Jimenez, before using quick feet to manoeuvre past Kilman into acres of space towards the penalty area.

He set up a chance for substitute Harry Kane and although it didn’t result in a goal, it captured the attention of Bergwijn’s Netherlands teammate Depay, who took to social media to react to that bit of skill.
