Bayern CEO provides update on manager situation amidst Nagelsmann links

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has seemingly hinted that Hansi Flick could yet stay at the Allianz Arena beyond the end of the season.

Flick had previously indicated that he would be leaving at the end of the season and reports suggest that the Bayern boss could replace Joachim Low as Germany boss after this summer’s European Championship.

Tottenham are reportedly concerned that Nagelsmann, who was the North Londoners’ number one target to replace Jose Mourinho, could be snapped up by Bayern.

It was even revealed on Sunday that the reining Bundesliga champions had already begun talks with the RB Leipzig boss, who was keen on taking over from Flick, thus leaving Spurs to turn their attentions to the other names on their radar.

However, Rummenigge has now revealed that Flick has agreed to sit down with the club’s hierarchy for talks regarding his future, claiming that they want to find a solution that works for Bayern.

The Bayern chief told BILD (as relayed by The Daily Mirror): “We have agreed that we will sit down after the game in Mainz.

“If we are to meet Hansi’s request, all parties have to work together to find a solution that FC Bayern is also happy with.”
