BBC Pundit gives five-goal score prediction for Nottingham Forest vs Spurs

Ex-striker Chris Sutton predicts that Tottenham Hotspur will enjoy a great time against Nottingham Forest despite underperforming in their last two matches.

Tottenham will be looking to improve on their recent displays against Wolves and Chelsea when they take on newly promoted Forest this weekend.

Harry Kane, in particular, has enjoyed a strong start to this campaign, having already scored two goals in the league.

He was decisive in the previous two games for Spurs and will be looking to continue that run of goals against the Reds, who have struggled to maintain consistency.

Steven Cooper’s club have facilitated eighteen new additions into their ranks and are in line to make former Tottenham player Serge Aurier their nineteenth transfer of this summer (Daily Mail).

Sutton has acknowledged Forest’s intention to put up a strong fight after promotion to England’s top division after such a long time.

However, the former Chelsea ace sees Antonio Conte’s side thrashing the Reds 5-0 as the hosts are known to play a back-and-forth game which suits the visitors.

Sutton told BBC Sport: “I like the way Forest have started. They have spent a lot of money and you can look at that in different ways if you are a Forest supporter you are thinking the owner is showing great intent.

“They have a good manager in Steve Cooper but this type of team might play right into Spurs’ hands. I’ve not been disappointed in Spurs, but I think they got away with it at Chelsea and beat Wolves narrowly last week thanks to Harry Kane’s goal.

“They haven’t been flowing – Son Heung-min is in my fantasy team and needs to get into gear. But Forest at home will try and take the game to Spurs and that might suit Antonio Conte’s side.”

Score prediction: Forest 0-5 Tottenham

Spurs Web Opinion:

Creativity has been the main issue for Tottenham in their last two matches, but they may not run into that problem against Forest. After all, they are likely to open themselves up, especially at City Ground Stadium, looking at how they have played so far this season.

As such, Spurs’ front trio of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dejan Kulusevski will probably enjoy more space to run into, which they can take advantage of with their direct style of play.
