BBC pundit gives his Spurs v Bournemouth prediction

BBC football ‘pundit’ Mark Lawrenson has given his prediction on the score for today’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth.

With Tottenham in search for their first ‘home’ win of the league campaign at Wembley, we’re all expecting Mauricio Pochettino’s players to finally get three home points, something which Lawrenson agrees with.

However, it will be interesting to see what side Pochettino picks for today’s game as I’m sure he will have one eye on Tuesday’s huge Champions League clash against current champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

However, we have to take it one game at a time and nothing short of a win today would be a disaster.

He told BBC Sport Online: “Tottenham are still waiting for their first Premier League win at Wembley, but I think it will soon be over because I just don’t see Bournemouth holding out the way that, say, Swansea did last month.

“For one thing, the Cherries concede goals quite easily, and then you consider Spurs striker Harry Kane and the kind of form he is in.

“And Spurs have to win this one, really. They have already dropped points at home to the Swans and Burnley – they cannot afford another slip-up.

“Lawro’s prediction: 2-0.”
