‘Because of Tottenham’ – Kyle Walker makes admission about Premier League title

Kyle Walker has admitted that he would hate to see Arsenal win the Premier League title, given his Tottenham allegiances.

While Spurs fans were dreaming of an unlikely title tilt until a few weeks ago, it is now clear that the Lilywhites will be involved in a battle with Aston Villa for fourth place, with the race looking like it could go right down to the wire.

The same can be said of the title race, with Manchester City and Arsenal both battling Liverpool for the ultimate prize.

Sunday’s showdown at Anfield between the league leaders and City provided a huge boost to Arsenal as the points were shared, sending the Gunners to the top of the table.

Kyle Walker still has loyalties to Tottenham

Walker has quite a few friends in the Emirates Stadium now but he admitted that having spent eight seasons at White Hart Lane as a player, he would not find it easy to stomach seeing the Gunners lift the trophy.

The Man City star said on Vibe with Five: “It is so hard. I don’t want Arsenal to win, because of Tottenham. I think that they (Arsenal) have our assistant coach (Arteta) as their manager.

“You’ve got (Oleksandr) Zinchenko, who I think is a very big part of it, and Gabriel Jesus. But, I will give them credit. They are a very good team now.”

Spurs fans would love to see Ange Postecoglou’s side being the ones who end Arsenal’s title hopes when Mikel Arteta’s men visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 27.
