Beckham Arrives At Spurs

David Beckham appeared at Spurs Lodge for the first time today, as he is set to undergo a medical.

Beckham didn’t speak to any of the waiting reporters to confirm his role at the club, with the expectation that he will be solely joining in with training sessions.

Spurs had been hoping to sign Beckham on a two-month loan spell, but complications have arisen in regards to the percentage of his wages that LA Galaxy want Spurs to pay, as well as insurance issues.

Galaxy are wary of sending the (former?) England international to play in Europe in the US off-season, due to the injury he suffered whilst with AC Milan last season.

As it stands, the deal will only encompass Beckham training with the Tottenham squad until February 10th, but Redknapp is hopeful of working out an agreement to secure his signiture on a playing basis.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Great.. we wont be getting the striker which we really do need this window. Not to mention a right back and a centre back which would also help. Nope, instead we've opted for a (MAYBE) 2 months with an over-rated has-been. Lets hope the end-of-season window, our focus will be improving the team and not the Redknapp family's friendship with David Beckham

  2. LOOOOOOl who remembers the media asking Harry " would you sign David Beckham" and he said " No we got David Bently"…. I'm stil not a big fan of Becks but hey Bently is going need cover on the right but after watching FA Cup yesterday think Townsend should play Cover
