Senior Tottenham star, Ben Davies, insists that Mikey Moore’s performance against Ferencvaros did not take him or his teammates by surprise as they are well aware of how good the teenager is.

Twin Tottenham debuts
Ange Postecoglou was without Heung-min Son, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert for the trip to Hungary, with the Spurs boss thus deciding to hand Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore their full debuts.
The pair had both impressed in pre-season but this was a much bigger test at a difficult away ground, and both players passed the test with flying colours.
Moore, in particular, looked like a player who was playing his 100th game, being extremely calm on the ball and not being afraid to take risks.

Not a surprise
Ben Davies has now revealed that both Lankshear and Moore have been impressing in training for quite a while and that there were no doubts that the pair would grab their opportunities when they came.
The defender insisted that watching Moore skip past players with ease was nothing new to anyone at the club.
The Welshman told TNT Sports after the 2-1 win: “Yeah, look, this is nothing new to us. We see it every day in training, Mikey [Moore] works so hard every single day to get these opportunities so when they come, we had no doubts that they’d be ready. I thought he was very good tonight.”

Perfect environment for young players to thrive
It was not just Moore and Lankshear who caught the eye, with Archie Gray also delivering an outstanding display despite being played out of position at centre-back, before switching to left-back in the second half.
With Postecoglou taking away the fear of failure from his players and asking them to express themselves, the current Spurs set-up looks like the ideal one for youngsters to showcase their skills.
