Bent claims Grealish has his eye on a move to one of three Premier League clubs

Former Tottenham and Aston Villa striker, Darren Bent, believes that Jack Grealish has set his sights on a trio of Premier League clubs, including Spurs.

Grealish has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks with the Red Devils reportedly making the 24-year-old one of their priorities in the summer (Daily Star).

The Villa star was on Tottenham’s radar previously, with the Sun claiming that the Lilywhites could have signed him for just £6 million back in the summer of 2018.

The midfielder has since gone from strength to strength and is currently said to be valued at around £70 million.

Bent, who was at Villa Park when Grealish was coming through the ranks, suggested that the talented midfielder had narrowed his choice down to Tottenham and the two Manchester clubs.

Speaking to Football Insider, Bent said: “I think Jack Grealish has got his sights set on maybe three teams.

“I would say probably Manchester United, Manchester City, and potentially maybe Spurs.

“I think they’re the three that are looking at him, and he’s eyeing them thinking ‘I’d like to go to one of them’.

“I’d probably put Man United at the very, very top of that. If that doesn’t happen and Villa go down, you never know, but for me, he’s got his eye on them.”

All the prices that were quoted a couple of weeks or months ago now have to be revised as there is no way any club can afford to pay £70 million for Grealish under the current financial circumstances. I believe Villa might be in a position where they are forced to sell and so his price could come down substantially. However, I still expect him to go to Manchester United as they seem to have prioritised his signature while Mourinho, on the other hand, will primarily be focussing on rebuilding the Spurs defence this summer.
