Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley is reported to be holding talks with Manchester City.
The 25-year-old is wanted at Eastlands by Mark Hughes, who managed Bentley during their time together at Blackburn Rovers.
Bentley has failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane since his £15million switch last summer and would welcome the opporunity of regular first-team football.
It is unknown as of yet if any move for Martin Petrov would be part of a deal which would see Bentley go in the other direction.
