‘Best period’ – Kane names Spurs team mate who is impressing under Conte

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane believes that Eric Dier is enjoying the best period of his career under the management of Antonio Conte.

Kane revealed during the summer that he has taken his fitness levels to a standard he has never previously experienced under the leadership of the Italian and is reaping the rewards of the demands that Conte expects from his players (The Sun).

Dier has been in impressive form under Conte and was rewarded for his efforts so far this season with a recall to the England set-up and earned his 46th cap in Friday’s defeat against Italy.

Kane has praised his manager and his ability to get the most out of his players, with Spurs having headed into the international break unbeaten in the Premier League after seven matches played and face a huge north London derby at Arsenal on Saturday.

He said about Dier in an interview with BBC Sport: “I think he has improved. He would be the first to admit that. Consistently, it’s probably the best period of his career.

“Antonio is a great coach, I think he gets the best out of a lot of his players that he works with.”

Kane has fully bought into the standards which Conte has set for his players and looks to be enjoying his football under the former Inter Milan boss.

Hopefully, Kane and his team-mates can head to the Emirates and take all three points against their bitter rivals and make a statement that they are looking to compete for silverware this season.
