‘Big credit’ – Harry Redknapp gives verdict on top four race

Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham, West Ham and Arsenal are all very much in the race for Champions League qualification this season.

Tottenham’s results have improved significantly since Antonio Conte arrived at the start of November.

The club have won three of their five Premier League games under the Italian and drawn the other two.

Spurs had their biggest test of the Conte era against Liverpool last Sunday and the Lilywhites certainly passed with flying colours, coming away with a 2-2 draw against the Premier League title contenders.

In fact, the North Londoners would have been disappointed not to come away with all three points against the Reds, given the chances that they fashioned.

Spurs currently sit in seventh place, six points off Arsenal in fourth but Conte’s men do have three games in hand over the Gunners.

Redknapp praised Arsenal’s improved run of form that has helped them be right in the mix for Championship qualification.

The former Tottenham manager told talkSPORT: “Big credit, Arsenal have been excellent.

“I wouldn’t fancy Wolves, they are decent but I can’t see them making top-four.

“There are probably three runners for that spot and West Ham and Tottenham are certainly two of them.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Man Utd are favourites to finish fourth as they have a better squad than us, Arsenal or West Ham.

To me, Spurs look much better equipped to challenge the Red Devils than either Arsenal or West Ham.

Hopefully, Chelsea’s poor run of form continues and they get sucked into the race for Champions League qualification.
