Big Crystal Palace boost as three key players could return vs Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur take on Crystal Palace at the weekend in the Premier League, and the opponents could be boosted by the return of Eberechi Eze, Joachim Andersen, and Will Hughes.

Spurs will be hoping to bounce back this weekend after a disappointing defeat to Wolves last time out in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites were without a game last weekend due to Chelsea’s involvement in the Carabao Cup final, and need to attempt to close the gap on fourth-placed Aston Villa as soon as possible.

Palace won their last game, a big victory over Burnley in new manager Oliver Glasner’s first game in charge, and will be looking to build some momentum from here on out.

It was revealed yesterday by the South London Press that Palace will have to take on Spurs without their star defender, Marc Guehi, who continues to be unavailable after sustaining an injury at the start of February.

Three Palace players could be back this weekend

However, the Eagles could be handed a massive boost in the form of three first-team players returning from injury. The latest update comes from The Standard, with a suggestion that Eberechi Eze, Joachim Andersen, and Will Hughes could all push for a comeback this weekend.

It is thought Eze “is in contention” having returned to “full training” this week. The playmaker has been out for the last three weeks with a hamstring strain.

There is also “optimism” around the club that Andersen “could start” the upcoming game, and midfielder Hughes will undergo a “late fitness check” this weekend.

Spurs Web Opinion

It’s just our luck that Palace have the new manager bounce and three of their best players in contention to play after recovering from injury. It just feels like the perfect recipe for us to be on the wrong end of the result this weekend, but I hope I’m very wrong.
