‘Big game’ – Ndombele seems to hint he still watches Tottenham games

Tanguy Ndombele has given words of encouragement to Yves Bissouma following the midfielder’s performance against Liverpool on Sunday.

Despite Tottenham falling to their second consecutive loss at home in the Premier League on Sunday, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance for Antonio Conte’s side.

The home side put the Reds backline under immense pressure throughout the second half and would consider themselves unfortunate at not coming away with at least a point.

One of Spurs’ biggest positives was the performance of Bissouma, with the Mali international mopping up loose balls brilliantly and helping the Lilywhites progress the ball into the final third.

After a slow start to the season, the 26-year-old has been getting regular starts under his belt over recent weeks and is now starting to deliver the kind of performances he did consistently at Brighton over the last couple of years.

Ndombele, who is yet to have the same kind of impact at Napoli, took to social media to congratulate Bissouma on his display against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Frenchman reacted to the midfielder’s Instagram post with a comment that read: “We were just talking about this the other day!! Big game.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It looks like Ndombele is following Tottenham’s games closely. The performances that Bissouma has put in over recent weeks, are perhaps what many Spurs fans expected of Ndombele when we signed him but the Frenchman does not seem to have anywhere near the sort of engine that the former Brighton star does.
