Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega has taken to social media to blast Harry Kane after reports emerged that the striker did not show up at Hotspur Way on Monday morning.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the last few months but Tottenham have maintained they have no intention of selling the striker.
The 28-year-old was scheduled to return to Hotspur Way on Monday following his summer break but it emerged that the striker had not shown up to the training complex.
It has since been revealed that the England captain had felt the club had gone back on a gentlemen’s agreement to let him leave this summer.
Tottenham have refused to comment on the situation regarding Kane’s no show and the situation has taken some Spurs fans completely by surprise.
On hearing about Kane’s antics, Vega insisted that the striker will lose his respect if the reports are true, describing the Spurs academy graduate as ‘a big-headed and arrogant player’.
Spurs Web Opinion
Kane is certainly the last player anyone would have expected to act like this. However, I am hesitant to make sweeping judgements based on the incident without knowing the full facts of what was promised to the 28-year-old last summer and what his situation is at the moment.
