Tottenham’s pursuit of Roony Bardghji keeps getting progressively more complicated, with another European club now stepping up their pursuit of the Copenhagen starlet.
Swedish football is arguably on the cusp of having a golden generation, with some talented youngsters breaking through over recent years.
Tottenham Hotspur have one of the nation’s best young gems in Lucas Bergvall (along with the experienced Dejan Kulusevski), and reports indicate that the North London club are now keen on securing another generational talent from the Scandinavian country.
It has been reported over recent weeks that Spurs may test the waters with an offer for Roony Bardghji this summer, but the Lilywhites are expected to face plenty of competition in the pursuit of the 19-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano reveals race for Bardghji is intensifying
A few days ago, it emerged that Porto had submitted an offer for Bardghji, although a deal to take the winger to the Portuguese club is not advanced at this stage.
Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Olympique Marseille have now joined the race for the young attacker.
The journalist revealed that the Ligue 1 side, who will be playing in the Champions League next season, have now made initial contacts with Copenhagen, over a summer deal for the Sweden Under-21 international.
Can Tottenham win the race for Roony Bardghji?
While it is unclear where the winger will end up, it is clear that his days at the Danish club are numbered.
Bardghji has refused to sign a new contract at Copenhagen, and with his contract running out in January 2026, a summer exit very much appears to be on the cards.
Tottenham will hope that the opportunity to play with his compatriots, Bergvall and Kulusevski, at N17 will prove tempting for the teenager.
