‘Biggest club in the world’ – Tottenham man responds to Real Madrid links

Richarlison has admitted that it is an honour to be linked with a move to Real Madrid, however he insisted that he still has unfinished business at Tottenham.

It is not just Harry Kane who has been linked with a move to Madrid over recent weeks (AS) but also his Brazilian striker partner, Richarlison.

Spanish reporter Ramon Alvarez de Mon said on his YouTube channel at the end of last month that Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the forward, having worked with him at Goodison Park wth Everton.

The journalist claimed that the Italian is of the belief that despite Richarlison’s struggles at Tottenham this season, he is capable of thriving at the Santiago Bernabeu who are now without a traditional number one following the exit of Karim Benzema.

Richarlison dreams of future Real Madrid move

The former Toffees man has now admitted that every player dreams of wearing the famous Real Madrid shirt, describing the La Liga giants as ‘the biggest club in the world’

However, he remarked that he has a contract to honour in North London and that he wants to prove his worth at the club after a dissipating first season at the club.

Richarlison said (via The Daily Express): “Real Madrid links? Of course, every player wants to wear the shirt of Real Madrid. It’s the biggest club in the world. But I have a club, a contract, I have to prove why it they bought me for a high price. But any player dreams of playing for Real Madrid.”

These are certainly not the words of a player who wishes to push for a move away, with Richarlison clearly determined to showcase his quality at Tottenham.

If anything, these rumours about Real Madrid’s interest would only boost his confidence and serve as confirmation to the 26-year-old that he is good enough to perform at the highest level.
