Billionaire Joe Lewis left ‘annoyed’ over actions involving Tottenham star

Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis is reported to be unhappy with Harry Kane over the way the forward has tried to secure a move to Manchester City, the Daily Mail have reported.

Speculation over Kane’s future in North London gathered momentum in May when Sky Sports claimed that the forward had reiterated his desire to the club to leave this summer.

The rumours were further fuelled on Thursday evening when The Sun reported that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had changed his mind and informed the 27-year-old that he was prepared to sanction his sale to the Premier League champions in a £160million deal.

Respectable sources including Alasdair Gold and Charlie Eccleshare have both suggested that Tottenham’s stance remains that the England international is not for sale.

Lewis has been left annoyed over the situation and is now prepared to dig in his heels with the billionaire in no mood to be forced into selling the England captain.

Whether Lewis should be unhappy with Kane directly or those who surround him is more of the question.

Lewis rarely watches Tottenham in person and instead prefers to spend his time on a superyacht in the Caribbean (The Sun). With Lewis having significant wealth, it is frustrating that he does not invest hundreds of millions of pounds into the club himself to help propel us to glory.
