Some fans have reacted furiously to reports that Danny Rose was involved in a heated exchange of words with Jose Mourinho at Hotspur Way on Sunday.
The Daily Mail reported that Rose was angered by being left out of the matchday squad for the clash against Watford on Saturday.
It is suggested that Mourinho left the 29-year-old out as he felt the defender wasn’t in the best shape to play due to his back injury.
The England international, however, felt that he was fit to play and reportedly took issue with Mourinho again during Sunday’s warm-down training session.
The report reveals that the pair clashed verbally with their voices raised and that some players were unhappy at how Rose’s behaviour had escalated the situation.
This report proved to be the final nail in the coffin for some Spurs fans as far as Rose’s future at Spurs was concerned. They called for the club to pay off the remainder of his contract and bin him this month.
The left back controversially revealed earlier in the season that he was going to see out his contract with Spurs which runs until the summer of 2021 and leave on a free transfer (Evening Standard).
While many were angry with the latest report regarding Rose, some fans still backed the defender:
Rose needs to leave, making a toxic atmosphere at the club. Good to see the players backing Josė.

I’m a Danny Rose fan and was happy he didn’t leave in the summer but his performances this season have been a shambles I don’t think he’s in any position to shout the odds and the manager or anyone else for that matter! https://t.co/GBXLM8Wc8y

I've backed Danny Rose because of his hustle and ability. But he is taking the piss now. Hes been utter penis for a while now and expects to be in the team. Bin him.

Didn’t take the toxic one long. Just pay him up, terminate the contract and rid the club of this awful player.https://t.co/3VChTVlgd8

Danny Rose getting special exemption from spurs fans on twitter that are happy to slate Eriksen. Bin them both off. Great players a few years back but have both tarnished their Tottenham careers.

We need to stop considering Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen for match day squads. I’d go as far as to say we should keep them away from the 1st team squad, make them train with the reserves. #spurs #thfc

I absolutely beg Danny Rose to write a book! Its going to be no holds barred! The best thing will see him bashing Daniel Levy

People choose to not take note of transfer rumours with the Daily Mail, but when its about Danny Rose and a 'heated debate' with Mourinho it's all true #Agenda

Spurs Web Opinion
There were some signs towards the end of last season that Rose was slowly coming back to his best. However, he has been shocking so far this campaign whenever he has featured. If the report of a bust-up is true, I would be quite happy to stick him in the reserves until his contract runs out.
