Some Spurs fans have been left far from pleased with the design of the club’s leaked home kit for the 2020/21 campaign.
Leaked images of Nike’s design for Tottenham’s upcoming kit for the next campaign have been doing the rounds on social media for a number of months.
It now seems as if those leaked images were indeed correct as Nike themselves appear to have leaked Spurs’ home kit for the 2020/21 season on their website; only to later delete the page.
Nike have gone with the classic white home shirt with blue sleeve trims, while adding trims on the side, a speckled pattern on the shirt, and a collar trim.
The design was not well received by some Spurs fans who were appalled by the lack of creativity and insisted that some fan-created designs were better. Some found the red colour of AIA’s logo particularly off-putting.
Here’s how some fans on social media reacted to the leaked kit:
The concepts people on Twitter make are better than the actual kits, every single year. They’re so lazy

It must have taken the designer all of three seconds to come up with that. Hideous.

A mid table kit if I ever saw one

Why do other clubs get great Nike designs and we get the designer who’s discovered “more” on the effects tab in their design software? So bad, not even a little bit cool.

An abomination.

Looks like a knock off.

It’s not a bad jersey. It’s the sponsor that ruins it every time imo pic.twitter.com/q9TISULvr0

Good god, that is just bloody awful. ?

Not a fan of the shoulder pads tbf

Do Nike design it or just make it once Spurs have sent a design over? Silly question I know but I have no idea. I’ve seen some brilliant designs by fans. They should do a fans design and the winner gets a free season ticket for one season or something

Shame all these manufacturers keep trying to reinvent the wheel. White shirt, navy shorts…..simple. Doesn’t need to be any more complex than that. #KeepItSimple

Spurs Web Opinion
I thought Nike had done a decent job with this year’s kit. However, unfortunately, the disappointing season we have had means that it will not be remembered. I do not mind the navy shoulder stripes in the 2020/21 home jersey but it is evident that not much effort has gone into its design.
