Bologna director reveals club are willing to listen to Tomiyasu offer

Bologna director of football, Walter Sabatini has now revealed that the Serie A club have been willing to listen to an offer for Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer.

Sabatini, however, added that such an offer had not yet arrived, while also adding it would have to be a ‘very important’ offer for Bologna to accept.

The Italian claimed Tomiyasu was still a Bologna player for the time being, but they would have to see what happened in the next ten days.

Tomiyasu himself was asked about a possible Premier League move this month, to which he responded that he would like to compete in the English top division Nishinippon (via Sport Witness).

CalcioMercato revealed recently that Spurs have just one final obstacle in finalising a deal for the Japanese star as they have already agreed on a fee with Bologna.

The report claimed the two clubs had agreed on a £16.9m fee but there were still ongoing talks over the payment structure, which was said to be ‘far from irrelevant’ to the deal.

This comes after claims that one of Leicester City or Arsenal could look to swoop in ahead of Spurs for the versatile defender.

Speaking this week, Sabatini said (Gazzetta dello Sport): “For now he is our player, then we will see in the next ten days. We have been willing to listen to an offer that has not yet arrived: and for someone like him, it must be very important.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think Tottenham will sign one of Tomiyasu or Milenkovic but probably not both. That could change if Aurier or Sanchez leaves, but for now it will be just the one for Paratici. Tomiyasu seemed to be the one he went for first, so it would be safe to assume he is the top choice.
