Boost for Spurs as door closes on another potential Pochettino destination

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job for the past few months.

The Argentine was the bookies’ favourite to land the job back in December when the club parted ways with Jose Mourinho.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has impressed since taking over the managerial reins on an interim bais and has managed to revive Man Utd’s season, with the Red Devils qualifying for the last 8 of the Champions League and still in with a shot of finishing in the top 4.

It now appears that Solskjaer’s performances have borne fruit as Man Utd have confirmed that the Norwegian has been appointed on a full-time basis (The Guardian).

The former Man Utd striker has signed a three year deal with the club that sees him contracted to the Red Devils until 2022.

This is indeed great news for Spurs particularly on the back of Zinedine Zidane returning to Madrid, as this means that Pochettino is now likely to stay put in North London to continue overseeing his exciting project.
