Luka Modric - Tottenham news

Tottenham Hotspur make the short trip to West Ham United this weekend looking to bounce back from our disappointing Carling Cup exit.

Wholesale changes were made for the game midweek, but now it’s back to business. If you were Spurs manager, what would YOUR Tottenham starting XI be?

Leave your team selections below.

Here’s what we have come up with:-

Cudicini

Hutton King Bassong Assou Ekotto

Lennon Huddlestone Modric Bale

Van der Vaart

  1. jenas is a massive pile of wank, he cant defend or attack he is division 2 at best

    Pleti

    Hutton Gallas king BAE

    lennon huddlestone vdv sandro bale

    crouch

  2. Cudacini
    hutton gallas bassong assou ekotto
    lennon huddlestone jenas kranjcar
    modric
pains me to say pav or keane whichever looks like they have the ability to play football on the day

  3. cudicini.
    hutton, gallas,bassong,bale
    hudd
    VDV,moderic,kranjcar
    pav, crouch

after an ineffective 1st half drag pav off and replace with lennon pushing VDV forward. just hope lennon decides he wants to play. wet ham pretty dodgy at the back. green is a liability and they struggle to clear the high ball into the box. jenas can't handle these types of games. will run up and down chasing the ball it would be a waste of a midfield spot to play him. palacios is pants so maybe sandro on for kranjcar after 70 minutes? i keep reading the hammers expecting to win this game? i can't see it. i expect spurs to put 4 past em. just have to take a few long shots at green and hope pav ('c'mon c'mon hurry up pav- vy c'mon') follows up..the lazy bastard lol

  4. 4-4-2. We never win with the 4-2-3-1 formation (harry always switches to a 4-4-2 at the end of the match). Only away in the CL we must play 4-2-3-1. We can control the pace of the game at home. Plus its WH. Unless Harry wants to test a that 4-2-3-1 more we should just go with a 4-4-2.

Plus Bale is our best LB. Put him there and Modric on the left so he cuts in.

    Gomes/Cudicini (if Gomes is fit)

Hutton, DC, DC (whomever is fit), Bale
Lennon (need that pace), Hudd (always a starter), Sandro or Jenas (Might be too much for Sandro if he doesn't know the game plus no need for two DMC so Jenas might work), and Modric on the left to cut in.

Crouch and Pav (put in two strikers because we need to test out an alternative partnership than Crouch and Defoe).

Then again this should be an easy match. So we must rest our star players.

    Hutton, DC, DC, Ekotto
Gio, Sandro, Palacios, Modric (needs to be match fit again)
    Keane, Pav
