‘Bottlejobs fc’ – Former Spur blasts Arsenal for abusing the rules over postponement

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has taken to Twitter to vent his frustration after the North London derby was postponed.

Arsenal submitted a request to the Premier League on Friday evening for the game not to take place after claiming that they were short of players as a result of Covid, injury, suspension and some of the squad on international duty at AFCON.

The Premier League confirmed yesterday afternoon they accepted Arsenal’s request to call off the match, which left Tottenham furious and issued a strongly-worded statement of their own in which they suggested they believe rules regarding Coronavirus-related postponements have been manipulated to create “unintended consequences”.

The postponement has also received criticism from some pundits including former Manchester United defender Gary Neville on Twitter.

O’Hara accused Arsenal of abusing the rules and highlighted the fact they had sent Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Folarin Balogun out on loan.

The talkSPORT presenter also accused the Gunners of being ‘bottlejobs’ in not being prepared to face their rivals today.
