Breaking News: Harry Kane to face no punishment for incident with Azpilicueta

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane will face no retrospective ban or fine for his incident involving Cesar Azpilicueta last night (BBC).

Spurs crumbled to a second successive loss as they were defeated 2-0 by the Blues, but Kane seemed to lose his head way before any goals went in.

The England captain appeared to move his head towards that of Azpilicueta after a disagreement over whether the striker could close down the ball.

Davinson Sanchez had clipped the ball down field towards the Chelsea keeper, as is customary when a team puts the ball out to deal with an injury.

However, David Luiz thought he would be clever and jump to control the ball with his head, at which point Kane saw it as fair game to continue playing.

Luiz, Azpilicueta, and Caballero disagreed with this, claiming that Kane should have given Luiz more time on the ball before closing him down.
