Harry Kane has taken to social media to praise Tottenham’s away support at Turf Moor yesterday after Spurs overcame Burnley 1-0.
Nuno Espirito Santo named a fairly strong starting eleven for the Carabao Cup round of 16 clash, with Kane, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal keeping their places in the starting eleven from the loss against West Ham on Sunday.
The match was not a particularly entertaining affair but the away side were able to fashion the better of the chances.
Spurs could have taken the lead in the first half if Kane had his shooting boots on but the 28-year-old missed a couple of big chances before the interval.
It was substitute Lucas Moura who eventually scored the winner midway into the second half as he headed home a pin-point cross from Emerson to help the Lilywhites seal progression into the quarterfinal.
Kane has taken to social media to express his delight on making it into the final eight.
Brilliant away support tonight so great to get the win for them and be in the hat for the next round. pic.twitter.com/gqh9q4vn4q

Kane’s hold up play and movement yesterday was much better than it was against West Ham on Sunday. However, he snatched at the chances that came his way, which is perhaps an indication of his lack of confidence in front of goal at the moment.
