Bronze for Tottenham’s Argentinian international

Yesterday we saw a host of Tottenham players return for the gruelling pre-season training, with many of our first team players still on holiday after some intense international matches.

Juan Foyth is one of those on an extended break after an exciting Copa America with the Argentina national team.

Foyth and the Argentinian national team may feel aggrieved for how their match against Brazil was officiated and filled with controversy, though.

Poor choices were made by the officials during their game against Brazil that potentially robbed Foyth of a place in the final (Guardian).

And it was during this match that our Juan Foyth did the dirty on Philippe Coutinho (talkSPORT) to show everyone why he is highly rated amongst Spurs fans, a silver lining to an otherwise disappointing game.

With his natural ability to humiliate attacking players, and stand his ground in one on one situations with some of the finest feet in football, Foyth has started to make a name for himself on international duty.

Foyth was also able to start Argentina’s last four matches (transfermarkt), which helped Lionel Scaloni’s side win a bronze medal in the Copa America, as Argentina secured third in Foyth’s first major international tournament.

Huge congratulations to Foyth, and here’s to a bright future.
