Bruce delighted to land Hutton

Alan Hutton has completed a loan deal to join Sunderland until the end of the season.

Hutton joined Tottenham for £9million from Rangers two years ago, but, having only started one league game this season, has been allowed to join the Black Cats until the summer.

Hutton has found it virtually impossible to displace the impressive Vedran Corluka from the right-back berth, and will find it easier to come by first-team football at Sunderland where right-back has been problematic this season.

Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, said, “We’ve been particularly short of defensive options of late, so Alan will come in at a very opportune time and will provide us with vital reinforcements.

“We have tracked him for some time, so we’re delighted to have brought him here until the end of the seas. I’m sure he will have a big part to play between now and May.”
