With Christian Eriksen recently confirming his desire to seek a new challenge (Ekstra Bladet), Tottenham are reportedly seeking replacements for the Dane.
While Tottenham are said to be interested in signing Real Betis midfielder Giovani Le Celso (The Mirror), another midfielder that the club have been linked with in recent days is Sporting Lisbon star, Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese international has had a sensational season, scoring 31 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions this season, and has reportedly been attracting interest from a lot of top clubs.
According to Record, Tottenham and Liverpool are going head to head for the 24-year-old midfielder this summer while the Daily Star claims that he is also interesting Manchester United and Manchester City.
Amidst all the reports linking him with a move to the Premier League, Fernandes has now spoken about speculation linking him with a move to Inter Milan.
The classy midfielder, who played for both Udinese and Sampdoria in the Seria A before moving to Sporting, told Sport Mediaset: “I was very happy in Italy and still watch Serie A games regularly.
“I do not have the slightest idea if it’s true that Inter are interested in me. They have a great Coach now in Antonio Conte who did so well at Juventus and with Italy.
“Of course, seeing my name associated with Inter is important.”

Based on these comments, it certainly looks like Fernades is open to a move away from Sporting this summer. However, given the amount of interest in him, he could prove an extremely expensive signing for whoever gets him. We would prefer it if the club got Lo Celso over the Portuguese international.
