Bryan Gil reacts to report claiming he is desperate to leave Spurs

Bryan Gil has reacted on Twitter to reports suggesting that he is eager to leave Tottenham ahead of next Monday’s transfer deadline.

The 20-year-old has yet to start a single Premier League game this season (Transfermarkt) since joining Spurs in a 25 million (£21.4m) deal from Sevilla last summer (The Guardian).

Mundo Deportivo reported that Gil is said to be keen to leave Spurs ‘at all costs’ this month with Real Sociedad holding a firm interest, having struggled to adapt to life and culture in England.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed last week the winger also has potential suitors at Valencia and Nice, who are looking to secure him on loan until the end of the season.

But Gil has since reacted to the rumours linking him with a move away from Spurs this month, rubbishing reports claiming he is unhappy with his current position in North London.

We need to remember that Gil is only 20 years old and he will need time to make an impact. He has only been in England for a matter of months so it would be bold to assume that he is fed up already. With a bit more time and development, we should hopefully start to see his true talent utilised.
