Bryan Gil sends message to Tottenham after completing Sevilla move

Bryan Gil has taken to social media to wish Tottenham luck for the rest of the campaign after the winger completed a loan move to Sevilla yesterday.

Gil had impressed in the opportunities he was handed by Antonio Conte earlier this month when the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas Moura were out injured.

On the back of the Spaniard’s displays, reports had indicated that Conte had decided to hang on to the 21-year-old rather than let him leave on loan (Estadio Deportivo).

However, things appeared to change last week, with Mucho Deporte claiming that Gil was desperate to leave Tottenham following the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal.

Relevo even claimed on Sunday that the winger had ‘no motivation’ to train and was frustrated at his situation at Spurs.

Gil finally got his wish yesterday evening, with Tottenham confirming that the winger had returned to Sevilla on loan.

Here’s what the Spain international posted on his Instagram stories after completing a return to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium:

Unfortunately, Gil has seemingly not adapted to life in England, either on or off the pitch since his switch from Sevilla two and a half years ago. The La Liga club will be laughing at the fact that not only did they get Erik Lamela plus £25m for the winger but they now have the 21-year-old back at the club as well.
