Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on Tim Kleindienst, who has 26 goal contributions this season, and the North London club may have an opportunity to sign the player on a discount this summer.
With Richarlison expected to depart Spurs this summer, the Lilywhites are expected to be in the market for a number nine to offer competition to Dominic Solanke.
According to a fresh report from Germany, the North London club have now set their sights on a player an experienced centre-forward, who has shone in the Bundesliga this season.
The player in question is Tim Kleindienst, who has spent most of his career in the German second tier but has become one of the most feared marksmen in the Bundesliga over the last two seasons, having scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists for Borussia Mönchengladbach this term.

Tottenham can sign Tim Kleindienst on a discount
This report comes from BILD, who say that Spurs are one of several clubs to have expressed an interest in Kleindienst.
The outlet claims that Gladbach have no choice but to sell some of their star players this summer after failing to qualify for Europe.
The 29-year-old is thus expected to be on his way out of Borussia Park this summer, with the publication asserting that Gerardo Seoane’s men would be unable to turn down a €28m (£23.8) offer from Tottenham Hotspur for their marksman.
Gladbach also willing to sell Tottenham defensive target
Bild explained that Kleindienst may not be the only big-name departure from Gladbach this summer, raising the possibility that the German side could also cash in on centre-back Ko Itakura.
According to reports, Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Itakura, and it looks like the North London club may be offered a chance to secure the Japan international’s services this summer.
With various sources suggesting over recent weeks that Cristian Romero wants to swap Spurs for Atletico Madrid this summer, it will be interesting to see if the Lilywhites turn to the Gladbach defender to fill the void left by the Argentine’s potential departure.
