‘Can hurt them’ – Paul Merson shares his Fulham v Spurs score prediction

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash against Fulham tomorrow evening.

Tottenham make the trip to across the capital to Craven Cottage on the back of their third Premier League defeat in their last four matches after they threw away a two-goal at Manchester City to end up on the end of a 4-2 loss following a second half full of mistakes which gifted Pep Guardiola’s side a way back into the fixture.

Merson believes that Antonio Conte needs to take the handbrake off and allow his side to push forward and attack the Cottagers, however, he feels it will be another game which Spurs fail to win.

He told SportsKeeda: “This is a hard one to call, and I think it’ll be a good game. I thought Chelsea were the better team against Fulham. If Felix doesn’t get sent off, Chelsea win that game.

“Tottenham have got the ammunition to hurt anybody, but the shackles will have to come off against Fulham. Both teams are going to come out and have a right go, and this will be an entertaining match. If Tottenham play like they did against Palace, Fulham can hurt them. I see goals at both ends in this game.

‘Prediction: Fulham 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur.”

Individual defensive errors have cost Tottenham dearly this season. Ivan Perisic arguably had his worst game in a Spurs shirt at the Etihad having been at fault for two goals and should have scored at the other end, while the spotlight remains firmly on Hugo Lloris after he conceded once again at his near post.
