Tottenham fans’ worst fears were confirmed today as the club announced that Dele Alli will be out of action until at least early March.
The midfielder had to be substituted during Spurs’ win against Fulham on Sunday after he went down clutching the back of his left leg. Scans have confirmed that the 22-year-old has strained his hamstring.
This comes at a time when Harry Kane is out of action until March with an ankle injury while Heung-min Son is away from the club on international duty with South Korea. This means that Spurs will go into a crucial run of games without their three most potent goalscorers.
Alli could miss as many as ten games for Spurs including the Carabao Cup final if Tottenham can overcome Chelsea on Thursday along with both legs of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.
Spurs fans were devastated by the news with a few imploring Levy to bring players in before the end of the month. Check out how some fans reacted to the news on social media:
Dele, the latest injury casualty.
Some say Spurs have enough players to cope & shouldn’t sign for the short-term.

Rival fans can laugh right now but I'm just gonna come out and say it…if your club can't finish above this homeless, crippled Spurs squad you should be absolutely embarrassed

First PL team to not sign a player in the summer transfer window since its introduction in 2003. Kane, Son, Dele, Lucas out. Sold Moussa. If no players are brought in then say goodbye Poch. Deserves better.
