“Can I donate my hamstring” – Some Spurs fans react to Dele Alli’s injury

Tottenham fans’ worst fears were confirmed today as the club announced that Dele Alli will be out of action until at least early March.

The midfielder had to be substituted during Spurs’ win against Fulham on Sunday after he went down clutching the back of his left leg. Scans have confirmed that the 22-year-old has strained his hamstring.

This comes at a time when Harry Kane is out of action until March with an ankle injury while Heung-min Son is away from the club on international duty with South Korea. This means that Spurs will go into a crucial run of games without their three most potent goalscorers.

Alli could miss as many as ten games for Spurs including the Carabao Cup final if Tottenham can overcome Chelsea on Thursday along with both legs of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.
