Tottenham Hotspur have been far from their fluid best so far this season, but strangely enough they are doing something fans have never really seen before.

It appears that this Spurs team has really learned how to win ugly, and how to secure three points when you’re far from your best.

Pochettino’s men are enjoying one of their best starts to a Premier League campaign ever.

However, fans around the Spurs side of North London will be hoping that the team clicks into gear sometime soon, with a crucial week ahead.

London derbies against Chelsea and Arsenal sit either side of a must win Champions League tie against Inter Milan.

If ever there was a perfect time for Tottenham to up their game and find their best form, it’s now.

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen believes that Spurs are yet again flying under the radar, and if they can turn their form around, they could be challengers.

The Mirror report Eriksen said: “There is a lot of focus about the other clubs, but again we have almost similar points. We are up there. Maybe we haven’t played the best football we have showed for the last few years. But we have still got the points. Sometimes that is necessary.

“That is how it goes and at some point if it clicks and we get the points, then we will be different.

“We will go for it and we will see where we end up. We will do our best and then, if we are lucky or not lucky , we will see.

“From what it was a few years ago to what it is now, people expect us to win every game even against the top six. That’s how it has turned around compared to what it was.

“Looking at trophies, we haven’t won anything but we have been getting fans and people to watch Spurs completely differently.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Personally speaking I think Tottenham have begun to gradually improve their game as the season unfolds, and lets not forget that this campaign has already seen a much greater level of injuries to key players than the last few years overall. I think we will get better and better as the season progresses.
