‘Can you sack an interim head coach’ – Some fans react to the Spurs team vs Aston Villa

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the team selection for this evening’s Premier League match against Aston Villa in North London this evening.

Harry Kane’s future has been the subject of intense speculation since late Monday afternoon with Mason deciding to start the forward in what is hopefully not his last game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in lilywhite.

This match will be Harry Kane’s 400th appearance in club football in all competitions – 334 of his 399 so far have come for Spurs, with the others coming during loan spells at Leyton Orient (18), Millwall (27), Norwich City (5) and Leicester City (15). His 236 goals since his debut in January 2011 are bettered only by Sergio Agüero (258) in English football in that time.

Steven Bergwijn and Harry Winks also start instead of Gareth Bale and Giovani Lo Celso who drop down to the bench.
