Members of the Tottenham Hotspur squad have been jetting to all four corners of the globe over the past week with many on international duty.
The official Spurs Twitter account has been keeping track of the players who have been representing their nation and they decided to put out a Tweet covering Serge Aurier’s involvement.
The right-back played the full 90 minutes in the Ivory Coast’s 3-1 win against DR Congo.
Many Spurs fans decided to take it upon themselves to reply to the social media message with sarcastic responses.
Aurier has hardly covered himself in glory once again this season after being sent off in the first half of the victory against Southampton and produced a diabolical defensive display in the 7-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich.
The 26-year-old admitted earlier this week that he wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer whilst also conceding that he does not know yet what his future holds in North London (Daily Mail).
Leave him there
