‘Cannot get enough’ – Some Spurs react to Gareth Bale’s first goal since returning

Some Spurs fans were overjoyed to see Gareth Bale get off the mark in his second spell at the club after the Welshman came off the bench to head home the match-winner against Brighton.

Tottenham had to work extremely hard for the three points on Sunday and it looked as though they might be held to another draw at home after the away side equalised early in the second half.

However, Bale made an instant impact after replacing Erik Lamela in the 70th minute as he met Sergio Regulon’s pin-point cross with a well-placed header to put Spurs back in front.

Bale has not quite had the fairytale start to his second Spurs spell as some would have hoped for and admitted in his interview with Spurs TV after the game that he was relieved to get off the mark.

Some Spurs fans are hopeful that the floodgates could now open and that the 31-year-old will grow in confidence after his strike on Sunday.
