‘Can’t get any worse’ – Some Spurs fans react to half-time score in Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur go into the break at 0-0 in North London tonight as they welcome RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Spurs weathered an early storm from the visiting Germans, as they hit the post and forced multiple saves from Hugo Lloris within the first ten minutes.

The Lilywhites were forced further and further back into their own half for large parts of the first quarter of the match.

Tottenham grew into the match as the half went on, with Giovani Lo Celso and Gedson Fernandes, in particular, making great ground for the home side.

In terms of chances, Steven Bergwijn carved Tottenham’s best of the half with a nice curled right-footed shot in the box, but it was comfortably saved. Dele Alli also misjudged the flight of the ball after a cross from Fernandes was seemingly destined for his head.
