“Can’t keep blaming the manager’ – Some fans react to Spurs’ first-half against Man Utd

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to their side’s first half performance against Manchester United this evening.

Backed by a very vocal home support, Spurs made a bright start to the game within the opening encounters with Heung-min Son seeing his shot on goal deflected wide for a corner.

The South Korean had a further opportunity on 23 minutes when Lucas Moura dinked the ball over the United defence and Son could not bring the ball under control enough to test David de Gea.

United have also gone close with Edinson Cavani narrowly heading wide just minutes from a Bruno Fernandes cross.

Spurs thought they had taken the lead when a late offside flag went up against Cristian Romero after he turned home Eric Dier’s header at the back post from a corner.

It was United who made the breakthrough seven minutes before the break when Cristian Ronaldo beat Ben Davies and volleyed back across goal beyond the diving Hugo Lloris.

Here is a selection of thoughts from the Spurs faithful on what they have witnessed under the lights in North London with their side trailing 1-0:
