Djed Spence has taken to social media to admit that he cannot wait to get started after officially sealing his move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Although reports have indicated that Spurs had agreed on a deal with Middlesbrough for Spence as early as last week (Fabrizio Romano), the north London club only officially confirmed the transfer on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old hit the limelight last season during his loan spell at Nottingham Forest, with his energetic displays down the right-hand side being a fey feature of Steve Cooper’s side in their march to promotion.
Spurs fans will be hoping the youngster can thrive in Antonio Conte’s system, which affords the wing-backs plenty of freedom going forward.
In his first interview with Spurs TV, Spence described the move as a ‘dream come true’, and expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing Premier League and Champions League football for the first time in his career.
Spence has now taken to social media to react to the transfer.

The one thing that sets Spence apart is his explosiveness and his ability in one vs one situations, both defensively and offensively.
The fact that he can take on his man, drive inside, and burst towards the byline means that there is likely to be more space for the likes of Kulusevski to operate.
While Spence is still quite raw, his attributes make him a perfect fit for Conte’s system. I am excited to see if he can ride the wave of his meteoric rise over the last 12 months, and hit the ground running at Spurs.
