Former Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue and on-loan Spurs defender Juan Foyth seemed to have enjoyed knocking Arsenal out of the Europa League on Thursday as the pair took to social media to express their delight.
After a difficult start to the season, Foyth has come of age over the course of his loan spell with the Yellow Submarine.
Unai Emery has used the 23-year-old in a variety of positions including at centre-back, defensive midfielder and even right back, the position he was deployed at in the La Liga side’s 2-1 win over the Gunners in the first leg last week.
The Argentine picked up a hamstring injury in that game which sidelined him for the second leg at the Emirates, while Capoue was also not available for the return leg in London after picking up a late red card at El Madrigal.
However, the pair were in North London to cheer on their side against the old enemy as Villarreal played out a 0-0 draw.
